Oasiz is North America’s most authentic sounding tribute to Oasis, the kings of Britpop. The band features native Mancunian (native of Manchester) Liam Wilkes, as Liam Gallagher (yes, his mother named him after Liam Gallagher), and he’s been an Oasis superfan all his life. His vocals bear an uncanny resemblance to his namesake’s, and his stage presence creates excitement that recalls the Oasis shows of their classic years.
Other members include veteran musicians Scott Samuels as Noel Gallagher on guitar and vocals, known in power pop circles for his solo work and live performances, plus Derek Gaertner (guitar), Chris Iandolo (bass), and Scott Southwood (drums). The band’s attention to recreating the Oasis live sound and performance is so accurate that postings of their live videos sometimes get mistaken by internet copyright bots for the original band.
