This week Scott hit #1 on the Singer-Songwriter charts for North County San Diego at reverberation.com, thanks to all of you…Since the release of “Great Big World”, over a year ago, there’s been plenty of time in the top 10 and a few fleeting days at number 2, but this is a new milestone of sorts, hopefully portending to a great 2015!
Scott’s latest EP, a live recording of his May 9th show at Chicago’s Uncommon Ground on Devon, debuts September 19th. The six-song EP includes live versions of songs from his “Great Big World” CD and “The Fall” EP, as well as two previously unreleased songs, his version of Paul Kelly’s “Dumb Things”, and a live version of “In The Moment”, from the upcoming “Fabulous Reality” CD. Guest musicians on the “live at Uncommon Ground” CD include: David Hartmann on bass guitar, Bill McDowell on electric guitar, and Scott Carlton on flute. The new CD will be available in digital form from Amazon, iTunes, CD Baby, and Google Play. Physical copies of the CD will be available both at his shows and online via CD Baby.
Scott informally kicked off his Spring Swing 2014 tour with a show at Cafe Ipe in Leucadia, CA on Sunday, April 26th. The first show outside CA will be at Neutral Ground Coffeehouse in New Orleans on April 30th at 10pm. This year’s Spring tour includes 11 shows in 9 different states, and includes another sold out show at Chicago’s Uncommon Ground on Devon, May 9th at 10pm.
After a brief delay sorting out artist credits on the Bonus Track, “The Fall EP” is now available on both Amazon and iTunes. And very soon, we’ll have our very own CD and merch shop right here on the website…stay tuned!
Jay Allen Sanford of The San Diego Reader was kind enough to interview Scott prior to his EP Release show and upcoming Midwest tour. The article can be found here.
I’m pleased to announce the official release of my new single, “If I Could Start Today Again.” It’s now available for preview and download at Amazon, iTunes, Google Play, and CDBaby. There have been too many times I’ve said or done something I wanted to take back or do over, and this song express that sentiment so well…:) Of course you can preview a bit of the song at any of these sites, but for a limited time, I have a sneak preview of the full song up on my website in case you want to hear it in entirety first.
It’s Friday the 13th of September, but we thought we would press our luck and do it anyway…that is, give you a sneak peek/listen to the new single “If I Could Start Today Again”, from the upcoming EP, “The Fall.” It’s right here on the website, in the right-hand column. And next week it will be available for download, so stay tuned for details. Thanks to Kevin Lydy for contributing stand-up bass, and Scott Spindler for the church organ.
First show in St. Louis…Scott will perform a showcase set at Lemmons, a bar and restaurant well-known for music and great deep-dish pizza! On your way in please tell the door person you are coming to see Scott.
Scott Samuels, The Scuttlebuggs and Dena Dena Dena in Chicago at Uncommon Ground on Devon, Friday 11-15
My second show at this very comfortable listening room. Great food, drink and sound. Lots of special guests, and the amazing Scuttlebuggs from Chicago, as well as Dena Dena Dena, a talented singer-songwriter from South Bend. This is a show not to be missed!
As I said on Facebook earlier this week, it’s amazing how easily one server change can wipe out an entire website. I’ve spent much of the past week recreating and improving my shiny .php website, whilst my old .html-based site stood guard. Gradually, I am getting back to restoring all the show history and other posts that were here before the server change, and now, with a new hosting service, things are working better than ever. New videos and photos are being added everyday, as well. Hope you enjoy it.
